[K-REACH] Notice: Voluntary Reporting Period for K-REACH Violations
The MoE has announced an 8-month voluntary reporting period, running until October 27, 2025, for companies that violated the K-REACH.
This initiative follows the expiration of the registration grace period for existing substances over 100 t/y on December 31, 2023, and offers non-compliant companies an opportunity to rectify their violations.
▶ Eligible Entities: Companies that manufactured or imported chemical substances before February 27, 2025, without completing registration, pre-notification, or registration updates as required by K-REACH
▶ Penalty Exemption: Companies that report voluntarily and take corrective action will be exempt from penalties, including up to 5 years’ imprisonment, fines up to KRW 100 million, or administrative fines up to 5% of annual sales
▶ How to Report: Submit the violation report via the K-REACH IT system, 'kreach.me.go.kr'
▶ Enforcement Note: After the reporting period, any violations found through inspections will be subject to strict legal action
