[Linked in] May 12th K-BPR : Approval Application Process

Hi. I would like to share K-BPR news about the simplified approval of biocidal active substances(BAS) already evaluated internationally.

The government said: the scope of the exemption from the submitting data required for approval of already evaluated BASs internationally will expand. For that, the Ministry of Environment(MoE) will examine the exemption possibility for each item required for approval in advance and then disclose the items that can be exempted.

It is said that a total of 131 biocidal active substances subject to approval in 2021 are among the substances that have been evaluated internationally, and 13 of them are highly hazardous and may be restricted.

Currently, among the BASs that have been internationally evaluated, MoE is investigating the ingredients, content, use, and exposure information of substances notified as existing BASs and the representative example products; and based on the submitted information the items exempted from the submitting data required for approval will be analyzed and the exemption items will be determined and disclosed in June 2021.
