[Linked in] June 3rd K-REACH : Existing polymer registration/ notification

The topic for this week will be the procedure of existing polymer registration.
Manufacturing or importing existing polymer 1 ton or above per year, you should register the substance. A joint Registration dossier may be submitted through the consortium, same as existing substance joint registration.
 
An application form is the same as general existing substances, but as a special case is applied to polymer registration (enforcement schedule 1), the test data is simplified by tonnage band.
 
The attached card is about the way of registration for the polymer.


The industry which manufactures or imports the same existing polymer should identify the substance sameness information to proceed with the joint registration. In the case that the manufacturer/importers identify the substance sameness, they may submit the joint registration dossier, even if the number average molecular weight(Mn) and monomer contents(%) are different.
