[Linked in] November 28th: Only Representative under K-OSHA.

Manager 0 685 2022.12.20 11:12

Hello everyone!

Today, we will look at the subject of the definition and the obligations of an ‘Only Representative’ under K-OSHA.

Non-Korean manufacturers can submit the SDS of *substances subjected to submitting SDS by appointing an ‘Only Representative’ who is located in Korea.

So the appointed OR can perform the below tasks on behalf of Korean importers in compliance with article 113 of **K-OSHA.

1. Authoring and submitting the SDS
2. Submitting LOC
(LOC is a document confirming the name and content of the substances that are not listed on SDS because they are not harmful or hazardous. But Submitting LOC is not required when these components which have no hazard were written in the SDS)
3. Approval of CBI non-disclosure and approval of an extension
4. Reflection and submission on the changes after submission
5. Application for CBI data protection and termination
6. Other duties as prescribed by the Ordinance of the MoEL such as the provision of information

*substances subjected to submitting SDS: hazardous substances which are indicated in the classification standard in article 104 of K-OSHA.
**K-OSHA: Korea Occupational Safety and Health Act

Especially, we have an IT program so-called ‘Sol.T SDS’ and this can make it more efficient for these tasks.

And we can perform the preparation and review reliability for not only Korean MSDS but also English MSDS. So there is no problem even if you or your clients are out of the Republic of Korea.
